Willshee’s, leading independent company for domestic, industrial, and commercial waste management in the Midlands, operates three state-of-the-art recycling centers, offering comprehensive waste management and recycling solutions.
Challenge: Willshee’s sought a long-term solution for dust control at their new depot. As the site became operational, dust accumulation became a concern, impacting health and safety, visibility, and security. Dust was reducing visibility and covering camera screens within the depot, posing respiratory risks to workers and safety issues from poor visibility.
Solution: Willshee’s chose our parter Air Spectrum’s dust management plan and StaticAir’s systems to control on-site dust and improve air quality.
Fixed Rotary Atomiser: This system provides a fine atomized mist to ground large clouds of dust, designed to be easy to operate with a simple on-off switch. It targets heavier dust particles (upwards of PM10) and creates slight airflow.
StaticAir PMX: Four PMX units were installed to collect and reduce fine dust using electrostatic technology. Dust is ionized and attracted to a negatively charged base plate, collected until cleaned. The units are virtually silent, energy-efficient (18 watts per hour), and low-maintenance. The Rotary Atomisers support the system by producing steady airflow, crucial in indoor environments.
